A silky smooth, chocolate-y gelato treat to cool your summer days!
Course Dessert
Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 package Sip! Extraordinary Drinking Chocolate® your choice of flavors
  • 1 quart whole milk

Method

Method with Ninja Creami:

  • Prepare Sip! as directed. Cool in an ice bath.
  • Fill two Creami containers. Freeze 24 hours.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to process. If using the gelato setting, you may need to process a second time with the re-spin setting to ensure the dessert is creamy.
  • Serve immediately on it’s own or with Sip! Extraordinary Chocolate Crumbles and whipped cream.

Method for blender:

  • Prepare Sip! as directed. Cool in an ice bath.
  • Fill small silicone ice cube trays* with Sip! Freeze well. Unmold the cubes and store in a plastic zip bag until ready to use. Do not use a plastic ice cube tray. The cubes will not release. Small cubes blend more easily.
  • Place a handful of cubes in the blender and add some milk to help the blender get started. Blend until smooth adding more cubes as you go. The texture is soft-serve.
  • Serve immediately on it’s own or with Sip! Extraordinary Chocolate Crumbles and whipped cream.
  • Keep a supply of frozen Sip! cubes in the freezer for Frozen Sip! anytime.

Notes

*Chef En-Ming’s tip: If you don’t have small silicone ice cube trays, simply pour the cooled Sip! into two 9-inch x 13-inch pans or trays lined with plastic wrap. Freeze well. Invert the frozen Sip! onto a cutting board. Remove the plastic wrap and chop the Sip! into small pieces with a chef’s knife. Work quickly so the Sip! doesn’t melt. Store the pieces in a plastic zip bag in the freezer until ready to use.
