Ingredients

Cocoa (processed with alkali), sugar, unsweetened chocolate, modified cornstarch, vanilla, and organic natural flavor.

Preparation Instructions

To prepare one serving of rich, creamy drinking chocolate, combine 1/2 cup whole milk with 4 level tablespoons of mix and follow one of the methods below. Amount of milk or mix may be adjusted according to taste. Low-fat milk, skim milk, or unsweetened non-dairy milk substitutes may be used in place of whole milk.

CONVENTIONAL STOVE-TOP (CHEF EN-MING’S PREFERRED METHOD):
Combine milk with mix in small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over low to medium heat, whisking constantly. Use a heatproof spatula if needed to prevent sticking. Remove from heat and whisk or stir a few seconds before pouring into cup and enjoying.

MICROWAVE (1500 WATTS):
In microwave-safe cup 10 oz or larger, combine 2 tablespoons of the milk with mix and stir to form a smooth paste. Gradually add remaining milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Watch carefully to prevent boiling over. Stir and heat again 15–30 seconds until boiling. Remove and allow to cool 4 minutes before enjoying. Drink becomes creamier as it cools. Microwave times may vary depending on wattage.

CHILLED:
Shake or blend milk with mix. Add ice or blend with ice if desired. Chilled drinking chocolate may be made in advance and refrigerated up to 3 days. Stir well before enjoying.
